Religious Accountants

If I go to a yeshiva, am I supposed to become religious, or is it up to me, because I want to go and become an accountant there at the same time. Thanks.

Answer:

It is our personal duty to be Torah observant Jews both in yeshivah and out of it.

There is certainly nothing wrong with becoming an accountant (if you can combine this with yeshiva studies, this is surely wonderful), and I know many Torah observant accountants who are successful in their accountancy practice and fully committed to Torah Judaism.

Good luck!
