Kashering Forks

A dairy fork that was used for chicken that was warm but not yad soledet bo what should be done? (and if it is yad soledet bo hypothetically how would this be kashered? boiling water in dairy utensil or meat untensil)

Answer:

If the chicken was not hot, there is no need for kashering.

If the chicken was hot, the fork must be kashered. This can be done by placing it in a pot of boiling (bubbling) water.

The fork should be kashered after 24 hrs of use. Water should be boiled in a pot (dairy or meaty), and it is best to add some detergent (so that the water is ‘pagum’).

Best wishes.
