Judaism and Christianity

To any rabbis

I need to ask these questions.

1) In Judaism, do they view both Christianity and Islam as mistakes or shoot off from Judaism?

If I asked this question before, I apologies.

I don’t know what is Judaism views on Christianity and Islam.

I give example, Christianity views Judaism incomplete, with out the new testament.

What is Judaism view of Christianity and Islam?

I don’t care if they view them as mistakes or off shoot, just want to know.

Answer:

I think this question has been addressed before, but in brief, Christianity is viewed as a corruption principally because of the concept of the Trinity (which is seen as idolatry by many authorities) and its rejection of the Law (which draws from the acceptance of Yeishu as messiah).

Judaism does not believe in the prophecy of Muhammad, which is an automatic rejection of Islam.

Nonetheless, the Rambam (Maimonides) writes that both of these religions are offshoots of Judaism is their promotion of Monotheism.

Best wishes.
