The words used by G-d and Shlomo are slightly different.
Why would Ezra confuse matters in this way.
Another example is the tribe of Chiram who helped Shlomo build the Beis Hamikdash. Was he from Dan or Naphtali?
Some say that the differences are to with looking to King David and the Messianic era, but I think there is more to it. Besides, I think that Malbim says there were two people who helped Shlomo build the Beis Hamikdash.

See Ralbag Divrei Hayamim 2 chapter 1 Verse 12 who mentions the discrepancies between Melachim and Divrei Hayamim and answers that the events quoted in Divrei Hayamim are abbreviated.
Chiram’s father was from Naftali and mother from Dan. Just like 2 people built the Mishkan, Betzalel from Yehudah and Oholiov from Dan so the Beis Hamikdash was built by Shlomo from Yehudah and Chiram from Dan.
