Question:
I toiveled a griddle, not realizing until after I finished that there was a label on the underside of the griddle. Do I have to re-toivel it? If yes, with or w/ o a Brocha? Thank you
Answer:
Hello,
Ideally the label should have been removed before the tevila. However, now that it was toiveled with the label, the halacha is that if the label doesn’t bother you and you did not necessarily plan on removing it, the griddle does not have to be toiveled again. (I do not know if a label on a griddle has to be removed to prevent it from burning. If it does then the griddle would have to be toiveled again).
All the best
