I left late for my appointment at the dentist (hygienist, actually) and because of an unexpectedly delayed bus I arrived around 15 minutes late. The hygeinest refused to see me (which she is entitled to do) because another patient was due to arrive at 20 past the hour and she could not stay beyond that. Lemaase she lost out financially because of my missing my appointment. Another patient could have used my slot. Do I owe her compensation?
Answer:
It isn’t clear if you would have to pay of not,as differant establishmenta have differant policies. Additionally coming 15 minutes late is not terribly late for an appointment. If they didn’t ask for compensation, you would not haveto pay.
