From a halachic stantpoint it is permitted to lend money to and from a gentile with interest. However from a practical angle though, you sould be very careful who you borrow from, because you have enough problems, you don’t want to add loan sharks etc., to the list. Therefore it is permitted to take the loan, just be very careful about it.
