I accidentally used a cold fleishig knife to cut a hot grill cheese sandwhich, what is proper thing to do with knife, do i throw it away or can it be used again?


If the knife has not been used for 24 hours with hot meat when this occurred [which is its assumed status barring knowledge otherwise], it may be kashered through “hagalah” – immersing it in a pot of boiling hot water and then rinsing off with cold water.
