1.Does chometz sheavar alav pesach apply to dishware?

2. Also, does one need to be careful of possible crumbs of chametz sheavar alav pesach falling into food, or is it batel beshishim?

Answer:

  1. Chometz she avar alav hapesach does not apply to the absorbed taste inside dishware, or any other utensil. If however there was actual chometz on the surface of the dishware etc., it should be removed before using it.
  2. Chometz sheavar alav hapesach that fell into food after pesach is botil bshishim, and at certain times even botil broiv.
