What is the halacha if one buys a coffee machine that has metal piping inside it but I am afraid if I toivel the entire machine that it will break?
Answer
The coffee machine must be Toivelled in a mikveh. (For safety reasons, one must take care that it is completely dry - inside as well - before using it.)
If one does not wish to do so, one may bring it to a professional Jewish repairman. If he takes it apart and then reassembles it professionally, it can be considered to be made by a Jew and then need not be toivelled.
