Question:
Every year I lock away my "chametz" i.e. non pesachdik pharmaceuticals. I sell them with my chametz. Is this necessary, or is it sufficient to leave them locked in my bathroom cabinet without having to sell them ?
Answer:
If there are items of medicine that are edible, such as chewy tablets or syrups, or powders for preparing syrups, they should be sold out of concern for chametz. Non-edible tablets do not need to be sold.
