Is their any significance to the fact that Ehud is described as left handed when he killed the king of Moab?

The Metsudas David (Shoftim 3,16) explains that the fact that Ehud was left handed caused him to keep his sword on his right (enabling him to easily pull it out with his stronger, left hand). This was the reason why Eglon, King of Moab, was not cautious since he didn’t see a sword under Ehud’s uniform on his left side (where the majority, which is right handed, usually kept it).
