Are the dinim of “ye’ush” and “hefker” shayach also by a goy? Meaning if a goy is “misya’ash” or is mafkir something that there wouldn’t be a problem of gezel for a Yisrael?
Answer:
There is no reason why the concepts of ye’ush and hefker should not apply apply to non-Jews just as to Jews. These are basic concepts of ownership, and although there are difference in the laws of transferring ownership between Jews and non-Jews, there are no differences concerning the basic conception of ownership.
