I am a married woman sitting Shiva for my father may I:
– wash only my hair if its very oily?
– my son is doing a carnival and I had promised him that I will bake big chips for the charity event, am I allowed to bake them in shiva?

Yes, you can wash you hair if it’s very oily, and this is disturbing you.
You should wash your hair alone, however, and not the entire body.
And yes, you can bake chips for the event – though it is better if there’s somebody else to do it for you.
