Coffee in non-Jewish Establishment

Is it permissible to drink coffee in a non-Jewish coffee shop? Regularly?
Thank you.

Answer:

It is not possible to determine the kashrus of coffee prepared in a non-certified restaurant in a universal sense, since each establishment is different. The coffee might be Kosher, depending on the equipment used and so on, and this is therefore not recommended.

This is true of many coffee shops, which also offer non-kosher foods (include meats), and which can therefore be an issue for the coffee and other beverages. However, this depends on the particular coffee shop, the range of products offered, and the methods of washing up.

Best wishes.
