When using a Hebrew-English siddur, would reading a sentence in Hebrew and then pausing to glance at the English translation be considered a hefsek?
Answer:
No it is not a hefsek, because it is for the purpose of the davening. IN fact this is the correct thing to do, if you need to understand the sentence, (although it would be better to do it before davening or the day before).
