Did you ever hear that in Parshas Lech Lecha when Hashem told Avraham Avinu to go to Eretz Yisroel, Hashem led Avraham with a cloud during the day and a pillar of fire at night? I heard this on shabbos and it sounded interesting but don’t know where it’s from. The only thing I found was the Baal Haturim says asher arecha is gematria annanim which is clouds. Did you ever hear of this? If so, do you know where it’s from? Thank you!

It is brought that the Amud Ha;anan was in the merit of Avrohom Aveinu (Mechilta Beshalach 1), however I am not aware of a Midrash that says what you are saying. If you find such a Midrash please let me know.
