Are children’s notes and homework considered shaimos

Question:

Is school work about Torah considered shaimos and need geniza? If so, is there a difference between younger children and older ones?

Answer:

School work that contain pesukim or even there words of a posuk or quotes from chazal are considered torah, just like the torah of adults. Regarding younger children, if there aren’t words of Torah on it, i.e. a picture of Noach’s Teiva, that would not have to go into shaimos.

Best wishes
