Booking Moshiach

R’ Shlomo Kluger[1] tells us that each sefer that is published serves to hasten the coming of the final redemption. Moshiach’s arrival is accelerated by sefarim being written. This is just like Moshiach’s arrival is dependent on all the neshamos in Heaven being born.[2]

The pasuk says עשות ספרים הרבה אין קץ, the making of many books is without limit.[3] R’ Shlomo Kluger explains עשות ספרים הרבה as a directive meaning produce many sefarim. Why? Because אין קץ, the termination of our galus hasn’t arrived yet. Once the quota of sefarim that Hashem has determined must be written has been met, only then can Moshiach come. The arrival of Moshiach is contingent on these sefarim that need to be written and learned.
