WORKING ON CHOL HAMOED

Question:

Thank you for your answer i am entitled to 27 days annual holiday from April to end of march unfortunately due to the fact that we made 2 chasunas i had to take a lot of time off which leaves me with a residue of 8 days between now and the end of march 23 as you will appreciate I will if I were to take 3 days off in respect of Chol HaMoed this will leave with 5 days to take. I would like to save these days for later i.e Purim Taanis Esther and i may have to take off for other reasons furthermore if I were to utilize my leave in full then will have no option to take unpaid leave

Answer:

What you are saying is true, but in essence you want to work on Chol Hamoed, as a just in case you need to take other days off. We can’t call that a makom hefsed.

Best wishes
