Am I allowed to learn about trading stocks on Chol Hamoed.
does it matter if 1) I wont have the time or patience to do it at other times of the year
2) I am not doing it for a parnassah rather as a hobby (I dont ENJOY it but it’s a hobby and I want to do it)
Answer:
Although it is not in the spirit of Chol Hamoed, it is technically permitted. te fact that you don’t have time or pateince at other times is not a lenient factor but rather a factor to make it theoretically more problematic, because we should not be leaving work in order to do it on Chol Hamoed.
I don’t know what the differance between enjoy it and want to do it is.
