Dear Rabbi,
I understand it is treif to touch the carcass of a dead animal.
Of course, Jews wear streimels made out of a fur.
But why is fur permitted? I think it is nice but are there any kosher precautions?

Answer:
While touching a carcass makes a person ritually impure, there is no prohibition to touch it. Additionally it is permitted to benifit from it (we aren ‘t eating it).
