what does a halo during bar mitzvah

Question:

During my son’s bar mitzvah 9 years ago a beam of light lit up his head for several minutes when he was singing his various parts.
We do have pictures. It lit up his face and head almost like he had a halo. I traced the light beam back to the sun light to going through various windows bouncing off just the right ones til it hit his face at just the right angle. Being a scientist by nature I just thought it was a weird series of coincidences.
A religious christian couple later saw the photos and had a different opinion. They said it was a sign from God. I have never seen that happen before or since at our synagogoe.
A little about my son. He has a high genius IQ with a strong sense of adventure and is very social. He has a great many friends that truly love him. His life has had many unexplainable events happen to it. Examples are him repeatedly communicating with his grandmother and great grandmother at the age of 3, years after their passing, another at age 2.5 saving the lives of me and his 2 syblings by warning us about something he could not have logically known about, at age 5 while sledding he and his sled did spontaneous acrobatic movements to avoid crashing into another much bigger metal sled with a 12 yo on it. By 7 he understood theoretical physics. He plays 6 different musical instruments well.
He has studied astrophysics, electrical engineering and music at Stanford and now is at UC Berkeley studying artificial intelligence and robotics. He has won countless awards.
If the glowing light on his head were to be a sign sign from God, what would it possibly mean?

Answer:

Hello,

It sounds like your son is a really special person. I cannot know things that have to do with the meta-physical, as I am not a kabbalist. One thing, however, I can say is that if he was given such unusual capabilities, it is a gift from G-d, and he should be using these gifts for the service of G-d, and not G-d forbid for the opposite. He should make sure to study some Torah each day, so that he will know the basic laws of how G-d wants him to act.

As far as a sign from heaven, if it is meant to be a sign that he is a light to others, the biggest light one can be is a spiritual one on to others. This is because a spiritual light helps people not only in this world, but also in the world to come. It seems that your son was given special talents from heaven. The more power and capabilities a person has, the more responsibility he has. For example, the president has the most power, but he also has the biggest responsibility. A governor has less power, but less responsibility. On a smaller, personal level, the more heavenly gifts a person is given, it is a sign that his obligation and responsibility to G-d is greater. If your son was given such intellect, etc., it means that G-d wants more from him than, the average person. Therefore, it is privilege, but also his responsibility to make sure not to squander the great gift that he was given from heaven, and to use then for what G-d would want him to use these talents.

Best wishes
