Zera Levatala

Question:

While being with my wife Zera came out before I was able to get into the vagina, but was in the general area
Is that Zera Levatala? Is teshuva necessary

Answer:

Hello,

Before answering your question, I just want to express my respect for you at asking a question which involves a sensitive topic like this.

The answer to your question depends on what came out, most of the time when you will get excited during foreplay, there will be some liquid that oozes out. According to most poskim this is not considered zera, and you don’t have to be worried about that, it is pre seminal lubricating fluid that the body excretes, and it isn’t zera. What we do have to be careful about is what comes out when you feel a pumping, that you have to make sure that it doesn’t come out unless, your ever is already inside her vagina.

It happens often that right at the beginning of marriage that the husband is not yet familiar with her body, and real zera can come out in the process. I have a kabala from R’ Henkin zt”l that if it comes out then that it is considered ones b’dvar mitzva, and there is no need to worry about it.

Later in the marriage, when he is already familiar, he should be careful not to get too stimulated, so that this doesn’t happen.

Best wishes
