According to Halacha, does the prohibition of Chadash apply to one of the five grains grown hydroponically or no? Or since it is on hydroponics, do the laws of Yashan/Chadash not apply?

Interesting question. I asked your question to Rav Saul Reichenberg, a leading expert on these topics, and he said that regarding chodosh and yoshon he doesn’t see why there should be a difference between if it is grown in water of in the soil. Therefore it would apply.
