The Tanach tells me in Hosea that the whole House of Israel will be brought back together by the Hand of Hashem.
Is that a view shared by the Rabbis.


As you write, there are several verses that leave little doubt as to the future return of the House of Israel — the Lost Tribes: “In those days the House of Judah will walk with the House of Israel, and they will come together from the land of the North to the land that I have given as a possession to your fathers” (Jeremiah 3:18; see also Jeremiah 30, 31, among many verses However, the manner in which they will return, and the entire question of their rejoining the nation, is shrouded in mystery, and one of the tanaim (the Rabbis of the Mishnah) could even state that they are not destined to return, though this statement is hard to comprehend.

Based on Scripture, the position of Rabbis is that the Tribes of Israel will return, yet because of its mysterious nature, the matter is not generally elaborated on by Talmudic commentaries and rabbinic authorities.
