I would like to kasher my silverware for Pesach. I think that the blade of the knives are attached to the handle with glue. The MB (451- 23) says one may not kasher a kli that has glue in it. Does the prohibition still apply to today’s glue or perhaps modern glue is stronger?
Thank you

The concern of utensils that are glued is that the utensil cannot be safely placed into boiling water, and therefore proper hag’alah will not be carried out. There is no problem for modern utensils, which are comfortably placed into boiling water on a daily basis.
