Rabbinic Punishment of Kareis

Is there such a thing as “koreis midrabbanan”?

Answer:

The concept of kareis de-rabanan is not common, and it can only apply where there is a Torah principle that involves the punishment of kareis, and this principle is transgressed in a rabbinic manner.

An example of this can be found in the laws of a thief who was makdish a stolen animal and slaughtered it outside the Mikdash, according to the interpretation of the Lechem Mishnah.

Best wishes.
