Sanctions for Intermarriage

Perhaps it is possible to establish a Takanath HaKahal and prohibit access to the Talmud Torah to Jewish children, children of a Jewish mother (with Brith Milah) but father not Jew to counteract mixed marriages?

Answer:

I understand your desire to sanction intermarriage and try to limit it, but the problem with the idea is that there children are at the end of the day Jewish, and therefore we have a responsibility to look after their Jewish education. Ostracizing parents by sanctioning children is an ethical concern, and denies the children the Jewish education we wish them to have.

Best wishes.
