Question:
Is one allowed to put a sefer on a chair in a flat or upright position? Also, is one allowed to put a sefer on an ottoman when one’s foot are not on it?
Answer:
We are allowed to put a sefer on a chair that we are not sitting on flat or upright, however if someone is sitting on the chair at that time, it should not be put there.
