area between burners on oven

Question:

I had a ladle that was hot, and it touched the area between the burners on the stovetop. There is a layer of black grease there (milchig and fleishig grease) but it doesnt look like there is anything there that is rauy leachila. Does the ladle need to be kashered?

Answer:

Hello,

If the grease was burnt and black, then it will not give any taste and the ladle is still kosher. As a side point, the grease that is there should be cleaned, and we shojld ot relyon this l’chatcila, however in retrospect, it is still kosher.

Best wishes
