Using Microwave for Meaty and Dairy

Is there any problem in using a microwave for meat and milk on an ongoing basis if the food on the meat/milk plate is always covered with cling-film?

What possible issues could arise if food of both types spills onto the microwave glass turntable?

Answer:

No, if the food is covered properly there is no problem in using the microwave for both.

If hot food spills the plate and areas that come into contact with the food will take on the status of the food. It should be cleaned well.

Please see here and especially here for more details.

Best wishes.
