Hi rabbi, some has loaned us some money, we would like to know if we need to give 10% of that to maaser/tzedaka?

Answer:
Thanks for your question. You would not have to give ma'aser on the money of the loan itself, because it is not considered a profit. You would however give ma'aser on the money that you will make to pay back the loan, because that is coming from profits.
As a side point a person that doesn't have enough money for his daily expenses may not have to give ma'aser at ll.
