Question:
In order to make homemade grape juice, is it required for the grapes to have been picked and handled only by shomer shabbos Jews, or regular store-bought grapes are also acceptable?
Answer:
Regular store-bought grapes are fie to use for making wine even if they were picked by and handled by a non-Jew. Grapes are not subject to become yayin nesech before they were squeezed, as its juice didn’t start the wine making process yet.
Best wishes
