Question:
If one buys a coat without a hood and has someone attach one with buttons to it, can one go out with it on Shabbos in a place without a Eruv?
Answer:
There is no problem with walking out side of an eruv with such a hood, because it is attached to the coat and a part of it. The fact that the buttons were sewn onto the coat after it was bought is irrelevant.
