Mincha

Question:

Dear Rabbi,

My zman notes a midday at chatzot. It also has a Mincha Gedola and Nincha Ketana. Does this indicate the first and last times mincha should be said? My synagogue does have mincha later than the Mincha Ketana. Is there a strategy to use one or the other?

Answer:

Hello,

The time of day for the mincha prayer is from mincha gedola until sunset, which is after mincha ketana. therefore if your synogouge has mincha prayers around the time of mincha ketana, that is just fine.

Best wishes
