Question:
I recently kashered my kitchen and dishes, except for the Pesach dishes. I want to kasher a soup ladle with a plastic handle from the unkosher Pesach dishes, so that I can use it now. Do I need to wash it and wait 24 hours before kashering? It wasn't used in about 7 months since last Pesach.
Answer:
Hello,
If it was clean and waited 7 months there is no need to wash it now and wait 24 hours after washing it, as it already waited while it was clean for more than 24 hours. The issue though is if plastic can be koshered at all.
Best wishes
