Sink need kashering?

Question:

Before doing hagalos kalim on a new stainless steel pot, I held it under hot tap water to facilitate the removal of a sticker. I remembered afterwards that this is a mistake, since the whole reason to kasher a new pot before toiveling is because it might have a non-kosher coating from the factory. Of course, the hot tap water is not as hot as the boiling water of hagalos kalim. The sink actually has a hechsher that it can be kashered. Do I have to kasher the sink?

Answer:

Hello,

There is no need to kasher the sink, as what4ever came off the pot would not be worse than eruy kli sheini, and it would not be hot enough to make the sink trief, and for other reasons.

Best wishes
