We drink the four cups, as a sign of thanks and celebration, for four different stages, of our redemption from Egypt. The first was that Hashem, released us from the tough slavery, the second, one is that we were freed from all work. The third is because Hashem redeemed us from Egypt, and the fourth is that Hashem took us as His special nation.
