Question:
I was making pasta in a milchig pot not used in 24 hours and put 1.5 spoons of butter inside and all the while used a fleishig fork not used for more than 24 hours. It was in the pot for a minute or two, just to stir. If I ate the pasta is it considered treif?
Answer:
The pasta is not trief, and the reason is because the spoon was not a ben yomo, and b’dieved it doesn’t make things trief. The spoon though needs to be kashered.
