What is the halacha concerning orthodox shuls inviting Xian leaders (some of them are missionaries) to speak about non-missionary topics on their premises or on Zoom? Should we be cautious and not attend such an event? Thank you.
Answer:
Something here doesn’t sound right, unless I am missing some information. Why would an orthodox shul invite a missionary to speak by them, even if he won’t speak apikorsus? A shul is the last place to give respect to other religions! Even if he says that he won’t speak apikorsus, who says that he won’t subtly insert it in his speech? I wouldn’t attend such a speech.
