Question:
Is it ok to buy a new window unit air conditioner during sefira? I could wait but the weather is starting to get hot. If yes, is there a price that would change that to a no?

Answer:
If you wouldn’t make a make a shechiyanu on it then it is surely not an issue. Even if you would, according to most poskim it is permitted to buy new things during sefira even if it is something that we would make a bracha on it. There are those however who are careful about this if the person would make a bracha, however if there is a need, it is permitted.
