Hi, my wife forgot to light shabbos candles this past week.
I would just like to know if we must light am extra candle every week.(we have 2 kids so we light 4 candles every shabbos).also should we take it om as a bli neder in case we out and we only have to candles or something. and is there anything else we should be aware of?

Thank you for your question.
If your wife indeed just plain forgot, and not because she was mixed up with what time it was etc., then indeed she would have to light an extra candle each week from now on. (It might be worthwhile to ask a Rov about this because it is possible that she won’t have to light the extra candle.)
If indeed she does have to light an extra candle, according to a number of poskim she should light another one even when she is a guest. See sources.
(By the way, if anyone asks why are you lighting three, they can be told, “this is my minhag to light three even when I am away from home”.)
