Question:
Is sunbathing an act of worship? I was in the yard with my shirt off laying face down on the ground for about 30 min. My intent was not to worship the sun, but just a get some sun. Also my mother told me to get some sun. By the way I am not Jewish, but I don’t want to do avodah zara. Please help.
Answer:
Although I am not n expert on this from what I have seen , it doesn’t seem to be a form of worship. In fact sunbathing, the sun is servicing you.
