Question:
We were making a sheva berachos for a family member. The group decided to daven minchah first before the chassan even arrived. Was tachanun supposed to be said being that the chassan was not there yet, or since the gathering was for a sheva berachos in honor of chassan that would pattur even before he came being that we were all there for the simchah
Answer:
Hello,
If the choson is not there they need to say tachanun. There is an idea that a shul that there will be a bris, even if the baalei habris are not there, that we don't say tachcnun, however this would not apply to a chosson.
Best wishes
