What you writing is true. Some of the sprays, can have additives in them that are not kosher. It is controversial among the poskim, if they should be peeled or not, as some poskim say that since the spray is not edible, it is botil if it is less than half. Others however are stringent with this. The CRC, and other American hechsherim are lenient with this, however according to the Badatz Eida Hachareidis, are stringent with this. As a side point, my understanding is that fruits from Israel will not have this issue, as they don’t contain problematic ingredients.
