If I got money from Trump due to the Corona but I presently don’t have an income (I’m still supported by my parents but not living with them) do I need to give masser on the money I received from the government?
Answer:
The money that you got from Trump is the same as any other money that you get, such as from a job etc. If your parents give you ample money for your needs, and as far as you know it will continue like this, then you should give maaser on your earnings, because then it is considered like you have a steady income of your needs. However if that is not the case, and we can’t consider your income as steady, then you wouldn’t have to give maaser.
